Description:

The candidate will follow engineering drawings, sketches and instructions and operate various machinery tools (lathes, milling machines, bench grinder, drill press, ect). Will be interacting with project managers, engineers, and welders. Proficient in all aspects of machining operations. This shop does not manufacturing parts. Specialty shop depending on project work.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma

2-5 yrs exp

5-10 yrs exp

Knowledge of machining tools, equipment, processes, procedures and safety requirements

Experience working with various metals (Aluminum, steel)

Basic math skills, using a tape measure, micrometers and additional measurement devices

Must have ability to take an electronics file and produce a finished part and/or ability to use manual machine tools and creat a finished part from engineering drawings.

Programming and knowledge of MasterCAM or Esprit

Working with multi-axis machining is needed.

Disqualifier: A CNC operator is not a machinist

PPE is provided- hearing protection, eye protection,
