Job Description
We are seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join our small, high‑performing team. This position is responsible for performing a broad range of mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance tasks to ensure our equipment, shredding systems, and overall facility operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.
This position is hands‑on and fast‑paced, supporting both industrial machinery and general building maintenance.
Pay: Up to $32hr.
Shift: 9am-7:30pm. (Tuesday - Friday) *Friday is 5am-3:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on shredding equipment and associated machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues on conveyors, belts, bearings, and related components.
- Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on industrial equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
- Support electrical work on equipment and facility systems, including components up to 480V and as low as 120V.
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of 3-phase motors, including running and bending conduit as needed.
- Complete general facilities maintenance tasks such as repairing toilets, replacing light fixtures, fixing doors, and performing painting and touch-ups.
- Inspect equipment and facility areas regularly to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
- Work with hydraulic systems as needed, including troubleshooting and basic repair activities.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial setting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly after use.
Essential Skills
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
- Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills for equipment such as conveyors, belts, and bearings.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial machinery.
- Basic to intermediate electrical experience working with components up to 480V and as low as 120V.
- Familiarity with 3-phase motors and running conduit for electrical installations or repairs.
- Experience with general facilities maintenance, including toilets, light fixtures, doors, and painting.
- Ability to work with hydraulic systems in an industrial setting.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
- Commitment to following safety procedures when working with mechanical and electrical equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Industrial maintenance experience in a recycling or similar heavy-equipment environment.
- Experience with facilities maintenance or facilities management responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to equipment and facility upkeep.

Work Environment
This role is based in a recycling facility that is non-climate controlled but maintained as a clean and orderly work area. You will work around industrial shredding equipment, conveyors, and related machinery, frequently moving between production areas and general facility spaces. The position is hands-on and may require standing, walking, and working in various temperature conditions throughout the day, while following appropriate safety and protective equipment guidelines.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Vergne, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
