Job Description
Pull vendor up in system, receive scale ticket, verify information, verify weights match, and trailer numbers. Perform documentation on their management system on Windows. Use drop-downs, double-click correct shipper names, weights, etc. May perform additional data entry or labor work. Handle tedious paperwork for trucks coming in and out. Double and triple check ticket numbers. Add hauler, vendor, ticket #, reverify and submit. Provide excellent customer service to truck drivers. Maintain composure as some drivers may be tired and cranky from being on the road all day. May have to step out of the plant to verify trucks. Clerk is responsible for checking up to 50 trucks in an 8-hour shift. This is a clerical position involved in daily office tasks such as weighing trucks, grading grain, operating computer systems, data entry, answering phones, and filing. The position requires excellent customer service skills and a positive, professional attitude. Responsibilities include weighing trucks, entering pertinent information, answering phones, filing and retaining documents, and maintaining a clean and neat workspace.

Work Environment
Will be in scale office by themselves but there will be other people working that shift. Somewhat temp-controlled. The environment can be a little cold as it is right by the outside with windows for truck check-in. The overall environment is dirty and dusty outdoors. The clerk will be in a small office for check-ins.
