Job Title: Forklift Operator – Manufacturing Environment
Pay- $20.10/hr
Job Description
This role focuses on operating a sit-down forklift in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to support production and shipping activities. You will move materials to and from assembly lines, handle finished goods, and support the shipping and receiving department by loading and unloading trucks and preparing products for shipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently for the majority of the shift.
- Transport raw materials from storage areas to assembly lines to ensure continuous production.
- Pick up racks of finished products from assembly lines and move them to designated shipping areas.
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking parts and organizing finished goods according to production and shipping requirements.
- Load outbound trucks with finished products, ensuring accuracy and secure placement of materials.
- Unload inbound trucks and move incoming materials to appropriate storage or production areas.
- Support shipping and receiving activities, including staging, organizing, and moving inventory within the facility.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory movement, verify quantities, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with basic production control tasks by moving materials and products according to production schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following facility safety rules and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with assemblers, production staff, and shipping personnel to coordinate material flow and truck loading.
- Work at a consistent, fast pace to meet strict production and shipping deadlines.
Work Environment
The role is based in a fast-paced Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility where timely shipment of products is critical. The environment is clean, organized, and highly automated, with a strong focus on efficiency and continuous production. Forklift operators work closely with assembly lines, shipping docks, and receiving areas, supporting a production schedule where delays can have immediate operational impact. This position primarily involves operating a sit-down forklift throughout the shift. Available schedules include a day shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and an overnight shift from 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday. The facility emphasizes safety, precision, and teamwork, and is best suited for individuals with manufacturing experience who are comfortable working at a sustained, very fast pace.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.10 - $20.10/hr.
