Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining all industrial equipment, performing both preventative and predictive maintenance. You will troubleshoot equipment issues, ensuring the constant operation of converting equipment and lines. Your role will involve participating in manufacturing process improvement initiatives and implementing technical solutions. Precision in using measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters is essential.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all industrial equipment.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Ensure continuous operation of converting equipment and lines.
- Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
- Perform repairs and implement technical solutions.
- Use precision measuring equipment effectively.
Essential Skills
- Experience in maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors.
- Proficiency in working with 3-phase motors and executing changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in GMP or Food Manufacturing is beneficial.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preference for candidates with 3+ years of experience in a GMP environment.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office.
- Ideal candidate has 5 years of related manufacturing experience in an FDA facility.

Work Environment
The facility operates nearly a million square feet of production and distribution centers. It runs continuously five days a week and distributes products nationwide seven days a week. As a liquid filling facility, candidates with a background in liquid filling or packaging, particularly from the food and beverage industry, are preferred.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
