Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Access Control Technician to support physical security systems across healthcare facilities in the Arlington, TX area. This role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of access control systems, with a focus on ensuring secure and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Set up and configure access control systems including card readers, keypads, biometric scanners, and electronic locks.
• Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine inspections and repairs to ensure optimal system performance.
• Programming & User Management: Manage user credentials and permissions within access control software.
• System Integration: Integrate access control with CCTV and intrusion detection systems.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including emergency response.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of installations, configurations, and service activities.
• Training & Support: Provide end-user training and technical support.
• Compliance: Stay current with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience installing and servicing access control systems.
• Experience with retrofitting and hardware refresh projects.
• Familiarity with Cat5/Cat6 cabling, wiring, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Experience working under service maintenance contracts.
• Must be comfortable working independently in the field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare environments.
• Familiarity with Lenel access control systems.
• CCTV and security system integration experience.

• Mileage reimbursement: $0.70/mile for travel between hospital sites.
