Food Service Worker & Dishwasher (Hospital Kitchen)
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM and 11:00 AM–8:30 PM (must be available for both as needed)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (90 days)
Work Environment: On-site, hospital setting
We are seeking reliable and motivated Food Service Workers and Dishwashers to join our hospital kitchen team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity with strong stability, overtime availability, and long-term growth potential.
Open Roles
Food Service Worker
Responsibilities include:
- Serving meals on the tray line
- Delivering meals to patient rooms
- Light food preparation (sandwiches, salads, etc.)
- Cleaning and maintaining the cafeteria and kitchen areas
- Assisting with other kitchen tasks as needed
Dishwasher
Responsibilities include:
- Washing pots, pans, dishes, and utensils
- Maintaining cleanliness of the dish room
- Assisting with general kitchen clean-up
Requirements
- At least 6 months of food service or food industry experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 100 lbs
- Strong customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Willing to undergo a background check and drug screen
- Willingness to complete required medical screenings (titers/immunizations provided if needed)
Schedule & Expectations
- Shifts rotate between mornings and evenings
- Every other weekend rotation required
- Initial training period includes shadowing with a supervisor
- Must be dependable and safety-focused
