Fiber Technician

Potential candidates must have 2-3 years of Fiber experience

$85/day per diem will be included for candidates who live over 2 hours away from Austin TX

Description:

Cabling project at the Tesla Gigafactory in Austin, TX

Copper and fiber dressing, testing, plug in for gigafactory location

Consultants should know they are building out a data center for Tesla and that they will be racking and stacking and cabling 968 racks and pull in 700 trunks in 4 months.

There are 4 set schedules. 4 10 hour days. Optional voluntary overtime available up to 60 hours a week.

Mon-Thurs 630am-5pm

Mon-Thurs 4pm-230am

Thur-Sun 630am-5pm

Wed-Sat 4pm-230am

Skills:

Cabling, fiber optic, copper fiber, Cable installation, fiber optic testing

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Techs will need to be journeyman level - this is going to be a fast paced job, not a ton of time for any training
