2ND SHIFT (2PM - 10PM)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste. Receive and follow directions from the Operator and/or Supervisor. Assist machine operator to set up orders and ensure quality checks are performed before, during and upon completion of each order.
Load corrugated sheets and labels into machine. Inspect machine during run and notify Operator when acceptable parts are not being produced. Assist in cleanup of equipment. Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures. Maintain shop and shop equipment. Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to work various shifts.
Must be available to work overtime or weekends on short notice.
Must have Basic computer skills.
Must have ability to speak, read and write in English.
Must have at least six months experience on a J&L Specialty Folder Gluer.
Must be able to lead a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic math and measurements skills.
High School Graduate or GED.
Ability to complete manual reports.
Able to work flexible hours depending on workload.
1 Year Corrugated plant manufacturing experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel. Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the job functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently required to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
