Job Summary:
The Manager, Settlement Operations position is a new opportunity to support a private equity-backed payments services company based in Dallas, TX. The Company is seeking a finance professional to support the expanding settlement function within the organization. This person will support the end-to-end merchant settlement function for multiple back-end processing platforms. This position will work closely with internal IT, Risk, Accounting and Finance team members, as well as externally with our bank and processing partners. This position will be responsible for completing multiple settlement reconciliations, compiling and analyzing large data sets, posting ledger entries and providing operational support to internal and external parties.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Reconciliation & accounting of incoming wires from card brands and front-end processors
- Reconciliation & accounting of outgoing funds to merchants and/or vendors
- Reconciliation & accounting of month-end merchant fees
- Analyzes & researches any variances, and works to resolve any balancing issues with internal/external parties
- Manages daily funding between operating and settlement bank accounts
- Posting of ledger entries for all daily revenue, costs, and receivables
- Research and resolve monetary and non-monetary rejects
- Ensure open batch reports are being worked in a timely manner
- Ensure proper accounting of card brand fee accruals
- Reconciliation and aging of chargeback and other balance sheet items
- Reconciliation of daily revenue and costs to month-end processor files
Minimum requirements:
- BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related field
- Minimum 6-7 years’ experience in payment processing
- Settlement Accounting knowledge highly preferred, but not required
- Proficient personal computer skills with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), including strong Excel skills required
- Data mining (SQL) experience a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of banking processes and transaction processing
- Ability to analyze projects with realistic thought processes and communicate progress
- Ability to work independently, as well as with others when needed
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a dynamic and growing organization
- Ability to complete tasks accurately within established timelines
- Ability to work well with local & remote personnel
- Attention to detail/accuracy
- Familiarity with IRIS CRM a plus, but not required
