The National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program at Leidos is seeking a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Professional to provide support to the Central Service Area (CSA) VOR MON Program for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The ideal candidate will support the program by providing technical and engineering assistance on Environmental Impacts associated with the VOR MON program implementation. The candidate will assist the FAA in implementing regulations promulgated by the Council on Environmental Quality in accordance with Executive Order on Protection and Enhancement of Environmental Quality. The candidate will also assist the FAA in implementing national policy to protect and enhance the quality of human environment and meet national environmental goals associated with the implementation of the VOR MON program. This may require interface with FAA headquarters offices, FAA field offices and other support contractors. This may also require the interface with Public Forum groups and meetings interfacing with all users of the National Airspace System.
Primary Responsibilities:
Will be a member of the Flight Procedures Team. Identify impacts of FAA actions associated with the VOR MON program including, but not limited to: noise, socioeconomic, land uses, air quality, and water quality. Determine fleet mix and times of use of existing aircraft. Determine the noise level from current operations and prepare noise analysis on proposed action in accordance with FAA Order 1050.1f (as amended). Prepare environmental analyses and documents that can include, but not limited to Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Impact Statement, Environmental Assessments, and Noise Impact Statements. Assist with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPS) compliance and completing interagency and intergovernmental conditions and consultation.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires BS and 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 years of prior relevant experience.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

- Experience writing and reviewing NEPA documents, including but not limited to: Categorical Exclusions (CATEX), Environmental Assessments (EA) and/or Environmental Impact Statements (EIS).
- Experience reviewing all NEPA impact categories.
- Working knowledge and proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications to include: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office and MS Power Point.
- Highly developed presentation skills.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain Public Trust security clearance.
- Ability to work within a team setting.
- Experience supporting the FAA or other aviation related agency or program.
- Experience with database management, KSN (SharePoint) websites, and MS Excel.
