Job Description
This position requires operating and setting up CNC lathe machines at a facility that seamlessly integrates various manufacturing technologies to support medical device and semiconductor industries. The role involves running Haas horizontal lathe machines, interfacing with Haas language and Mastercam, and working with materials like aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and some plastics.
Responsibilities
- Setup and operation of CNC lathe machine centers.
- Perform MDI programming using G-code editing and Mastercam.
- Conduct inspections using manual gauges and instruments.
- Understand GD&T and read 2-D drawings.
- Monitor and inspect parts throughout the machining process.
- Observe all company quality and safety procedures.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members to solve technical issues.
- Participate in Lean and 6S manufacturing events.
- 5+ years of experience running 3 and 5-axis Haas Lathe machines.
- Haas conversational programming and Mastercam knowledge.
- Understanding of tooling and tooling requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong work ethic and high attention to detail.
- Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English.

Work Environment
Work in a small custom job shop with 40-45 employees, spanning 20,000 square feet and housing about 20 machines. Choose between a day shift schedule (Monday-Thursday 6:00am-3:30pm, Friday 6:00am-10:00am) and a second shift schedule (Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:30am). Expect occasional overtime hours, typically less than 10 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Round Rock, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
