POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs and accomplishes minor maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection on fire alarm and sprinkler systems within University Health (the Health System) buildings and facilities Helps different trades bypass and acknowledge fire alarm panels, annunciators along with maintaining and cleaning fire alarm devices. Ensures safe, competent, efficient, and timely performance of assigned tasks. Cares for and uses materials, supplies, tools, and equipment properly.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2 years of experience in fire alarm and sprinkler systems in health care experience is required. Reading, interpreting and applying plans, specifications, blueprints, schematics, codes and work orders.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Fire Alarm License (F.A.L.) from the Texas Department of Insurance required or obtain same within 6 months of employment. A valid Texas State driver’s license “Class C” and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record and insurable by the Health System.

Compensation:$20.80 - $34.75
