Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team! The ideal candidate will document physician visits using the EMR system, assist with medical instruments when requested by physicians, perform patient work-ups post-consultation, and effectively communicate procedures and treatments to patients.

Responsibilities

• Document physician visits in the EMR system.
• Assist with medical instruments as needed by physicians.
• Conduct work-ups after doctor visits with patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures and treatments.

Essential Skills

• Experience in medical assisting and patient care.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and EMR systems.
• Knowledge of ophthalmology and nextgen systems.
• Certified Medical Assistant qualification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a life science.
• Ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Bilingual skills (nice to have).
• Ability to multitask and manage high patient volumes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
