The Challenge:

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. We have an opportunity for you to use your leadership and analytical skills to improve a client's machine learning capability. You'll work closely with your client to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You'll mentor teammates and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help leadership make informed decisions. You'll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. Join us as we use data science for good in building this capability.

You have:

• 2+ years of experience with Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
• 2+ years of experience with working in major scripting languages such as Python, Java, R, or C++
• 2+ years of experience with advanced te chn ical expertise to research and develop operational concepts in artifi cia l intelligence and machine learning such as AI or ML, mathematical or statistical models, and data exploration, analysis, and synthesis
• 2+ years of experience with leveraging applied computer science skills to develop advanced methods and te chn iques to store, manipulate, transform, or present information in support of all-source intelligence analysis and production.
• 2+ years of experience with developing algorithms and computer processes that allow models, processes, and programs be applied in support of intelligence production
• Experience with evaluating algorithms and computer processes and analytic tools for risks, biases, and limitations that would distort analytic conclusions
• Experience with employing exploratory analysis and rapid iteration te chn iques of large volumes of data to quickly derive intelligence
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Statistics

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Big Data architecture platforms such as spark or Hadoop
• Experience with extracting information from disparate data sources, then merging them together for analysis
• Experience with local compute clusters such as Dask
• Experience with containerized deployment
• Ability to learn new programming languages
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
