V2X is hiring multiple Electrical Engineers that range in seniority to support Radio Frequency (RF) engineering, systems testing and analysis efforts across several projects. Candidates should have interest in performing Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing and evaluations of US Navy ships wireless communication systems, radars, and antennas.

Candidates should have interest in performing Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing and evaluations of US Navy ships wireless communication systems, radars, and antennas.
Responsibilities
- Perform EMC Certification inspections and associated corrective actions; track and schedule platforms required to perform EMC Certification; and generate all supporting EMC Certification documentation, including Test Plans, Status Reports, Equipment List updates, Naval Messages, and Electromagnetic Control Measure (EMCM) updates.
- Provide support conducting Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) problem discovery, recognition, investigation, characterization, quantification, and engineering of mitigation measures.
- Frequent travel to government sites and/or aboard US Navy ships for test or certification events.
Required Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's (4 year) degree from an accredited College or University in a related STEM field.
- RF test instrument experience (i.e., spectrum analyzer, signal generator, filters, couplers, and blankers).
- Skills:
- Knowledge of US Navy ships Spectrum Dependent Systems (SDS) to include radar, Electronic Warfare (EW), and communications systems.
- RF systems field testing.
- Professional engineering documentation and writing skills, including the ability to interpret engineering test plans and procedures.
- Clearance Requirement:
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start) Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Location:
- This position is located full-time on-site at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) while not on travel. This role requires frequent travel 50% of the time or greater. Potential to be on travel at a government site (CONUS and OCONUS) and/or underway on US Navy ships for 7-14 days for RF Engineering Test events.
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
- US Navy ship engineering field experience or prior USN service
- Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Testing and Certification
- Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing and Certification
- MIL-STD-4023: High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) Protection for Military Surface Ships
- MIL-STD-1605A: Procedures for Conducting a Shipboard Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Survey (Surface Ships)
- MIL-STD-1310G: Standard Practice for Shipboard Bonding, Grounding, and other Techniques for Electromagnetic Compatibility and Safety
- Understanding of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) concepts.
- Familiarity with shipyard operational policies and procedures, safety requirements and personal safety equipment.
- Familiarity with shipyard construction hazards such as working in and around construction equipment (i.e., scaffolding, welding machines, and ladders).
- Knowledge of US Navy port operations.
