Job Description

We are seeking a multi-disciplinary Electrical Engineer to join our Submarine Electronics development team. This is a mission-critical, long-term opportunity supporting a new 7-year program. The role is pivotal in overseeing non-propulsion electronics across more than 20 submarine subsystems, with a focus on video, audio, and networking technologies.

Responsibilities

• Integrate, test, and present complex video/audio/networking systems to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support video signal distribution across subsystems using KVM over IP, multicast networking, and fiber-based video switching.
• Develop and execute test procedures for COTS, ROTS, NDI, and custom components.
• Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams and participate in technical review boards.
• Troubleshoot and debug systems in a classified lab environment.
• Contribute to system-of-systems recommendations and integration strategies.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 9+ years of experience with military hardware design processes and specifications.
• Experience with evaluation of COTS, ROTS, NDI, and/or custom components.
• Experience creating test procedure development and execution.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience participating in Integrated Product Teams, review boards, and customer reviews.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Linux.
• Familiarity with video standards such as RGB, DisplayPort, Digital Video Interface (DVI).
• Experience with USB interfaces.
• Experience with TCP/IP & UDP/IP.
• Experience with end-of-life assessments and evaluations.
• Experience with networked video distribution and streaming, or Remote Network Adaptor (RNA).
• Experience with routing and switching protocols, IP, Subnet, Network Route, DHCP, UDP multicast.
• Experience with analog audio performance.

Work Environment

This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring 2 days on-site and 2 days working from home each week. The role involves working in a classified lab environment, necessitating a Secret clearance for access.

This is a Long-term-Contract position based out of Manassas, Virginia.
