Job Description
Join our dynamic finance team as a Financial Analyst, where you will manage the finances, accounting, and contract compliance for several large multi-year projects and programs. This role involves close collaboration with project leadership to ensure financial accuracy and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers or their representatives regularly to maintain strong relationships.
- Manage finances, accounting, and contract compliance for large multi-year projects.
- Produce and coordinate monthly billing for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with invoicing terms and conditions.
- Resolve billing concerns to ensure timely payment of invoices and post invoices in customer and company systems.
- Book month-end financial adjustments and assist in creating business unit month-end reports.
- Prepare and present financial results during monthly Operational Unit Financial Reviews.
- Ensure proper allocation of costs and review cost ledgers to make necessary adjustments.
- Assist with cost, pricing, and proposal reviews to ensure adherence to federal cost accounting standards.
- Validate estimated project costs and train Project Leaders on cost forecasts, manpower projections, and cash flow management.
- Provide and update 36-month revenue and gross profit projections quarterly.
- Assist in preparing and presenting monthly Key Project Reviews and project/program Gate Checks.
- Prepare data for monthly reports and participate in contract status review meetings.
- Monitor contract compliance and customer reporting.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and EVM.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in construction finance and direct coordination with Project Managers required.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, reporting, audit, billing, pricing, and proposals.
- Proficient knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Self-starter with eagerness to learn and advance within the company.
Work Environment
This position is fully onsite, working within a collaborative team environment. The team is led by a division controller and currently consists of eight members.
