Description
The Leidos Office of Technology (OOT) is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to serve as the Director of the Cyber Accelerator. The successful candidate will drive the development and implementation of advanced cyber solutions that enhance resilience and address the evolving needs of our customers: from defense, offense, and across cyber physical systems.
The Cyber Accelerator provides differentiating technologies, solutions for captures and programs, scalable enterprise capabilities, and thought leadership in full-spectrum cyber technologies. The Cyber Accelerator develops innovative and differentiated capabilities for integration and implementation across all of our customers - including the internal Leidos cybersecurity team. These differentiated capabilities provide value in our customers' environments that require massive scale, heterogeneity, mission criticality, resiliency, and security.
The Cyber Accelerator provides solution development, technical proposal leadership and mentoring support to strategic captures.
Responsibilities
•Strategic Leadership: Provide technical leadership for the company in cybersecurity and cyber operations by defining the overall full-spectrum cyber technology strategy, and incorporating relevant fields like quantum technologies and secure digital transformation. This role works closely with the Leidos Software & AI Accelerator leads, as well as with Sector and Business Area CTOs to align our strategy, development milestones, and solutions with the BD pipeline and program/customer needs over the near-mid-far horizons.
•Technical Innovation: Lead the development of innovative and differentiated solutions for integration and implementation across all Leidos customers in partnership with program and capture teams. This includes a mixture of Internal Research & Development (IRAD), Contract R&D (CRAD), strategic partnerships, and harvesting of innovative solutions from existing programs and the internal Leidos cybersecurity team. Meet with current and potential customers to demonstrate the company's credentials at solving problems with technically-differentiated and technically-sound solutions.
•Cyber Workforce Development: The Director supports, communicates, and implements the technical element of the Office of Technology's cyber workforce strategy including: building communities of technical talent across the enterprise, recommending upskilling paths, and sharing the vision for future Leidos cyber technologies as they are developed. The Accelerator hires and grows top cyber talent, including researchers, solution architects, and subject matter experts.
•Cross-organizational collaboration: Facilitate the sharing of cyber knowledge, bringing together Leidos' internal expertise and top industry partners to drive best practices and tools across the entire Leidos enterprise.
•Operational Management: Manage the successful execution of IRAD projects, staffing, budgeting, and adoption by programs and captures of the solutions. Day-to-day activities range from managing technical staff, to making strategic recommendations on how to allocate resources, to building partnerships with strategic suppliers, to speaking at industry and press events to communicate the Leidos cyber vision and capabilities. These efforts help drive long-term success, profitability, and growth across the company.
•Servant Leadership: Manage a team, provide supervision, develop mid to senior level technical staff, and promote a dynamic, highly motivated, and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
•Experience: Master's and 15 years of related experience. Additional years experience may be used in lieu of degree.
•Demonstrated Capabilities: Strategy development and execution, team-building, research and development
•Technical Expertise: Proven expertise in cybersecurity and cyber operations with prior technical roles across offensive cyber, defensive cyber, or cyber physical systems; and related disciplines such as AI and quantum sciences.
•Technical Leadership: Ability to lead cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization and collaborating with external partners; experienced at contributing to the solution development for large (>$500M) captures and programs; experience leading research and development projects
•Communication: Effective at communicating with senior level leadership including executive leaders and Board members; public speaking skills with experience speaking at high-level conferences. Ability to influence and persuade others and build consensus.
•Mentorship: Ability to identify, mentor, lead, manage, and promote talent
