Overview:
This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are passionate about RF and microwave design and eager to contribute to the development of high-performance electronic systems. The successful candidate will work on the design, simulation, and testing of RF amplifiers, filters, and microwave components across a wide frequency range.
Description:
- Design and simulate RF and microwave circuits including power amplifiers, LNAs, filters, and matching networks (30 MHz to 6 GHz).
- Develop and optimize RF power amplifier designs with output power levels ranging from 20 to 50 watts.
- Perform circuit simulations using Keysight ADS or similar tools.
- Create and maintain schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer or equivalent ECAD software.
- Conduct hands-on testing and validation of RF designs using standard lab instrumentation (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF designs into larger systems.
- Support power supply design and integration for RF subsystems.
- Assist in the development and testing of systems involving microcontrollers and CPLD devices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in RF/microwave design and lab testing.
- Proficiency in RF simulation tools (e.g., Keysight ADS, AWR, HFSS).
- Familiarity with ECAD tools (Altium Designer preferred).
- Experience with RF instrumentation and measurement techniques.
- Knowledge of LNA and power amplifier design principles.
- Understanding of power supply design fundamentals.
- Exposure to embedded systems involving microcontrollers and CPLDs.
This is a Permanent position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
