TEK Systems is looking for an End User Computing Engineer. This position is technical and administrative in nature. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and engineering end-point devices used within the end-user community. The End User Computing Engineer will engineer, administer, and maintain end-point devices to include desktops, laptops, tablets, peripherals, mobile devices and other end-user computing components within the Enterprise whether the device exists remotely or on premise. The incumbent will use technology platforms such as SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, GPOs, Aristotle and other technical tools to maintain the end-points. The incumbent will be responsible for learning the current processes and assisting with selecting, improving and implementing new methodologies to enhance a technology driven process. The End User Computing Engineer will be responsible for deploying OS and software updates, security patches and other packages to maintain the integrity of the end-point community. The incumbent will learn the current processes in imaging and software packaging and provide process improvement to include improvements with the technology and deployment of virtual desktop infrastructure load-sets. This position will require excellent IT customer service, attention to detail, communication and organizing skills. There may be occasional lifting up to 35 pounds including activities such as moving files and small equipment. This is a hands-on the keyboard/administrative position with IT responsibilities.

The End User Computing Engineer will have experience with IT components and terminology especially as it relates to the end-user computing environment, software and hardware inventory, software packaging and imaging. The incumbent should meet preferred qualifications and have some experience in:

MS SCCM Intune MDM experience

Sophos Endpoint Protection Experience A+ Certification

Experience with Active Directory Networking experience

VMWare Horizon VDI experience Experience Supporting Office 365

Desktop GPOs Print Queue Management

Level 2/3 Desktop Support Load-Set Life Cycle Management

Windows Desktop OS(s) Assets Inventory Management

Experience with Cherwell ServiceDesk ticketing system or a ServiceDesk ticketing system

The End User Computing Engineer will have the following minimal qualifications:

-5 to 7 years experience in an IT end user computing role supporting end user systems for an organization.

-3 to 5 years experience relating to IT software and security package deployment in an Enterprise environment. Preference is SCCM experience and/or Intune.

-3 to 5 years experience in end user computing systems imaging and load-set life cycle management.

-3 to 5 years experience with technology driven end user computing technology enterprise solutions such as Active Directory, Desktop GPOs, Asset Management and Load-Set Life Cycle.

-2 to 3 years experience with virtual desktop infrastructure. Preference is Horizon VDI.

-2 to 3 years experience in a position requiring attention to detail.

-2 to 3 years experience with M365.

-Requires an associate’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience working within an IT arena or closely related field.

-Although it is not a requirement, at least 2-3 years experience working in public sector IT environments is preferred.
