Project Manager

Actalent is looking for a Project Manager Description:

2 IMMEDIATE PM Openings: ALL same level. Would look at a good APM too, but the req is the 2 open PM openings:

Our client is a general contractor who specializes in aviation, schools, educational, commercial, government, hotel and hospitality as well as tenant fit outs and interior renovation. Their project management experience includes construction management/GMP projects, fast track tenant build-outs, interior renovations, design build and base building projects. They are currently seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for managing and directing the construction of various contracts within our clients portfolio. This individuals responsibilities will include the following:

-Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors

-Manage projects from bid to award to completion (ranging from $100k-$10M)

-Perform site inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents

-Manage the RFI and submittal process

-Create project schedules

-Bid new projects, scope reviews, coordinate with subcontractors for project estimates

-change order reviews, processing and negotiating

-Budget creation and tracking

-Marketing and business development

-Managing 2-3+ projects at a time

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

1. 5-10 years of project management in General contracting experience (would look at a SOLID APM on the cusp of becoming a PM too)

-Commercial interior construction

-Scheduling, RFIs, submittals, know how to bid jobs, marketing

-Ability to manage 2-3 projects at a time (1 main project while closing one and bidding one or two)

-Some sort of scheduling software (they use Microsoft Projects)

-Viewpoint (PM software) helpful

-Bidding - Get set of plans, distribute to subs, make sure it’s scoped properly and then put their estimates together for a final bid

-Ability to run projects from bid to completion

-self motivated, very driven, likes what they do, doesn’t need to be micromanaged, efficient and productive person
