Senior Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist/Manager is responsible for the effective and consistent planning, coordination and implementation of HR business processes, functions, and procedures for the company. The HR Manager will maximize the strategic use of human resources while simultaneously ensuring a safe, productive, and positive environment for all employees. The position will report to the Chief Operating Officer. Responsibilities • HR Workflow a. Plan, organize, and coordinate all operations and activities related to HR operations and functions of the company b. Manage the annual renewal of the company’s health care plan and provide employees with ongoing support regarding the plan throughout the year c. Organize, coordinate, and improve as appropriate the company’s performance review process d. Maintain the company’s employee handbook and recommend changes or improvements as appropriate e. Work with management to implement new programs and manage such programs including the launch of a new 401(k) plan f. Develop and implement an ongoing training program for the continual improvement of each employee and the team as a whole, utilizing third-party training resources and professionals as needed • Support of Management a. Advise managers on organizational policy matters related to HR issues including but not limited to equal employment opportunities, sexual harassment, anonymous reporting processes, and similar matters b. Work with management to identify job vacancies and needs as well as recruit and interview candidates for open positions c. Serve as a link between management and employees by fielding questions, interpreting employee needs, administering company policies, and resolving work-related problems d. Represent management at personnel-related meetings as necessary • Employee Engagement a. Oversight of office administrator to ensure the maintenance of a clean and safe office environment with all appropriate resources, amenities, and supplies (including kitchen supplies, food, and drinks) b. Organize and coordinate off-site events during work hours as requested by management to foster and enhance camaraderie among all team members c. Plan and conduct new employee orientations to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives and core values d. Organize and coordinate staff training opportunities for both hard and soft skills e. Actively engage employees as needed including motivation needs, understaffing concerns, dispute resolution, termination of employment, and disciplinary procedures • Compensation-Related Matters - This role will not be involved with compensation-related matters initially but may expand to include such responsibilities over time

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVES: -5+ Years of HR Related Roles -Knowledgeable in Full Cycle Recruiting, Employee Relations, and Employee Benefits -4 Year Degree -Experience working with Sr. Management & 3rd Party Vendors (Staffing, Benefits Consultants, & 410K vendors)
