This role supports the setup, breakdown, and maintenance of workstations across the organization. It’s a hands‑on technical support position focused on preparing equipment, installing hardware and software, troubleshooting basic issues, and ensuring employees have fully functioning workstations on day one. The technician works closely with IT, Facilities, and end users to keep the environment running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and remove workstations, including desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, keyboards, and peripherals.
Set up new employee workspaces by imaging devices, installing required software, and verifying network connectivity.
Break down and decommission workstations during employee offboarding, office moves, or equipment refresh cycles.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues; escalate complex problems to senior IT staff when needed.
Maintain inventory of devices, accessories, and workstation components; update asset records after each deployment or teardown.
Ensure all workstations meet company security and configuration standards before deployment.
Support office moves, workstation re‑layouts, and equipment refresh projects.
Provide basic end‑user support for login issues, printer setup, application access, and device functionality.
Keep work areas organized and follow safety procedures when lifting, moving, or installing equipment.
Collaborate with IT team members to improve workstation setup processes and reduce downtime.
