Description:
The Manufacturing and Test Engineer II maintains test equipment, schedules testing equipment, provides test analysis, executes satellite component testing. Leads continuous improvement objectives, drives quality and reliability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Oversee production testing of satellite components. Enable day-to-day execution of the product integration and test flow.
-Proficient in electrical hardware testing with understanding of thermal environment testing and vibration testing.
-Analyze and interpret test data, provide test reports, present them to larger peer group as needed.
-Generate non-conformance failure reports. Provide disposition to repair, rework, or scrap.
-Participate in MRB (Material Review Board). Evaluate non-conformances to determine root cause and create actionable items and system improvements.
-Implement new testing standards and new test processes as needed for new development work.
-Provide training and support to Production Technicians on product testing. Perform testing as needed when technician is not available.
-Maintain/improve 5S and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives. Continuously Improve test cycle times and testing processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering with experience in RF, Computer Science/Computer Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
-Minimum 3 years professional engineering experience (or Master’s degree in related technical field) or equivalent professional engineering experience.
-Prior Aerospace experience preferred, or experience working in a manufacturing testing environment
-Experience with VSA, VSG or other RF test equipment
-Experience with Python and/or LabVIEW
-Experience reading and understanding PCB schematics and test documentation
