Electro‑Mechanical Technician – Advanced Assembly
About the Role
Digital Control Inc. (DCI) is expanding our skilled assembly team in Kent and looking for an experienced Electro‑Mechanical Technician who takes pride in precision work. Primary Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic and electromechanical systems following detailed documentation, diagrams, and engineering instructions.
- Perform functional testing on subassemblies and completed units.
- Communicate consistently with leads, engineers, and team members to maintain smooth workflow.
- Collaborate with peers to refine processes and share knowledge.
- Troubleshoot build issues and work cross‑functionally to implement solutions.
- Safely operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.
- Meet quality, accuracy, and production standards while working with minimal supervision.
- Build assemblies involving soldering, PCB work, and basic electronic programming.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, test results, and performance data.
- Provide input to engineering teams on design or process improvements.
- Follow strict safety protocols, including ESD handling requirements.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism.
Required Background & Skills
- Strong soldering abilities and experience with electro‑mechanical assembly.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Comfortable working with epoxies, PCBs, and simple programming tasks.
- Proficient with both manual and powered assembly tools.
- A two‑year technical degree or equivalent hands‑on technical experience.
- At least three years of experience in electronics or electromechanical assembly.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic production environment.
- Clear communication skills—written and verbal.
- Adaptable, organized, and able to manage changing priorities.
- Familiarity with electrical components, diagnostic tools, and troubleshooting methods.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, self‑directed work approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.
- Experience in maintenance or repair of manufacturing equipment.
- Exposure to PCB programming.

Schedule

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $53000.00 - $61000.00/yr.
