Job Title: QA Inspector
Job Description
The QA Inspector is responsible for inspecting machined components, sheet metal components, purchased products, raw materials, and assembled products to ensure they conform to engineering drawings and specifications. The role involves reading and interpreting aerospace manufacturing drawings, including tolerances, and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Inspect machined and sheet metal components, purchased products, raw materials, and assembled products for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret aerospace manufacturing drawings, including tolerances and technical requirements.
- Use common manual inspection equipment such as PCM’s, height gauges, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, protractors, profilometers, and bore gauges.
- Document product acceptance or rejection on manufacturing orders and process necessary rejection documentation.
- Perform Rockwell and Eddy Current testing for product acceptance.
- Apply statistical sampling techniques.
- Review outside processing certifications of nondestructive testing, chemical processing, and finish, verifying conformance to engineering requirements.
- Understand and complete First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with company and AS9102 requirements.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of safety equipment and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of three years hands-on inspection experience in a regulated industry.
- Two years of recent hands-on inspection experience in the aerospace industry.
- Passing score on Advanced Level Engineering Drawings Test.
- Passing score on Fluent Level Test on GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Trade school or college courses in related fields such as blueprint reading and GD&T.
- Attention to detail and ability to recognize deviations from requirements.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Customer focus with a high priority on satisfaction and service.
- Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments.
- Understanding and compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monroe, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
