We are seeking resumes for an Engineer Process (8 Openings) in our Wallula, WA facility.
Description of role:
Provide process engineering support to all areas of the mill.
Principle Accountabilities:
Investigate to resolution process-related opportunities, including statistical analysis of process parameters.
Serve as instructor, consultant, and facilitator for statistical quality control in designated area.
Assist with planning and coordination of trials of alternate materials or processes.
Assist with capital project justifications, including scope and post-project audits.
Make daily rounds in area of responsibility, note problems, initiate actions, and provide technical service.
Monitor quality of product produced.
Develop and implement control charts, conducting process variability analysis.
Reduce water and energy use.
Serve weekend call duty, conduct safety meetings, and fulfill supervisory safety responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in chemical, bio-resource science, or related engineering field required.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
The successful candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be self-motivated, customer-focused, and results-oriented.
Must have strong organizational skills, ability to work with multiple teams, demonstrated leadership skills and the proven ability to lead effective teams.
Must be familiar with total quality tools and continuous improvement concepts.
Good oral and written communication skills and organizational and planning skills required.
Problem solving skills and the ability to positively implement change are required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Pay and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is from $83200 to $124800.
Employees (and their dependents) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life, and disability insurance coverage, subject to applicable waiting periods. Employees are automatically enrolled in PCA's 401k retirement plan at the time of hire. Employees are also eligible for up to 120 hours of vacation (prorated) and eleven (11) paid holidays per calendar year.
