To perform this job an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Takes initiative as an individual and team member. Need to understand emergency instructions and communicate basic safety terminology in English. Education and Experience: One year, cleaning experience. Prefer H.S. diploma or GED or equivalent training and experience. Completed all safety and task training certifications. 6 months experience in high tech environment preferred. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to speak effectively to customers, co-workers and team members. Be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers. English preferred, Bi-Lingual in Spanish a plus. Mathematical skills: Know how to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Know the American measures of weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measures such as, cups, pints, etc. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply good judgment when carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving changes in standardized procedures and situations. Recognize and understand safety signs and building warning systems. Understand safety requirements, understand & meet company handbook expectations. Ability to learn the operation and care of equipment. Take care in the use of cleaning materials for different types of building surfaces. Work is routine & repetitive.
