Hiring for a Technical Writer based out of Seattle, WA or Culver City, CA or anywhere within the EST time zone as long as near local office. Remote until January 2022
Duration: 6 months to start off
Daily schedule: 40 hours; possible weekend(s) included during 2 launches but will be rare
We are seeking Technical Writer/Project Management/Media types of backgrounds. This role will be responsible for documentation, deep diving and identifying gaps. Will be working with stakeholders to deep dive and to identify gaps in their systems. Individual will receive assets from studios, go through multiple levels of quality checks/audits and then publishing out to customers. They would own this steady state as well as a lot of focus in creating documentation/SOPs. Output in 6 months is that they will have a comprehensive playbook around every issue and how these issues are resolved, etc. Could be responsible for publishing content, requires working with their upstream production teams. Ideal candidate is one who has a good understanding of video assets. They will be creating artifacts as they are still building out team-related documents and flow charts.
Responsible for the coordination and completion of project/program. Oversees all aspects of projects/program. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project/program. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
The team is shaping the future of digital video entertainment. Their mission is to build earth’s most customer centric ad supported premium free video service and make it trivially easy for hundreds of millions of customers to enjoy.
You will be responsible for a variety of programs in early stage that will need to be defined and built, in order to launch new content programs. These include leading our expansion plans and ensuring all teams are aligned and clear on goals, working with our studio partners globally to make it trivially easy to onboard into the streaming platform, defining and prioritizing asks from our partners, and summarizing state of the business for org wide communication and leadership reviews.
The successful candidate will bring bold new programmatic approaches and mechanisms that ensures customer insights are folded into how we develop and grow new business opportunities to enhance our customer experience around the world.
· 4-5+ years of experience in technical writing/project management/media
· Bachelor's Degree
· Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
· Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
· Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to leadership
· Proven ability to influence others and consult with international stakeholders remotely and on-location.
· Experience collaborating business owners to define key business questions and to building data sets that answer those questions
· Experience in data mining, data management, reporting, and SQL queries
· High analytical and quantitative skills
· Video or supply chain experience
· Certified Project/Program management credentials
· Demonstrated expertise in process management or Six Sigma/green belt certification preferred
· Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Able to work in a team of diverse ideas and perspectives
