A large, well-known tech company is looking to add a Social Media Manager! Open to remote candidates, but PST highly preferred.


Description:

Do you want a unique, exciting opportunity to help build something from the ground up? We are looking for a highly organized, self-directed Social Media Manager. As a member of the team, you will manage the launch and development of our social media presence. This includes branded handles and collaborating with partner teams to amplify our content. You will be responsible for defining the strategy, identifying sharable content, planning, and operations. You will mine for and leverage social listening insights and other research inputs to optimize the brand social strategy across channels and to influence future social content and messaging strategies.


Typical Day in the Role

  • Launch phase: work to understand the type of content, and researching
  • Cultivating phase: going through current content and seeing if they can bring it over and gathering content
  • Scheduling phase: making sure it is performing and resonating


Core Responsibilities

• Define, execute, track and report content strategies and paid social amplification along with the development of clear agenda frameworks to drive meaningful insights and content optimization

• Work with business partners and other key stakeholders to design and carry out brand social activity, ranging from editorial calendar development, to mining insights for input into social content briefs, and direct engagement with customers, members of the community, and followers in-channel.

• Set channel level goals - report on progress weekly to stakeholders

• Serve as social media subject matter

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years relevant professional experience in community management and engagement, social strategy, social media management, social media planning, social media buying
  • Nice to have: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent experience
  • A passion for social media and understanding its business impact
  • Experience working with enterprise social media management platforms
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality social media campaigns in very dynamic environments
  • Highly detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills including working with budgets and performance data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence others


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience running social media for a global brand
  • In-depth understanding of the social media marketplace and advanced targeting tactics, buying platforms and tag management solutions
  • Good project management skills, good at scheduling/organized
