The Benefits Specialist will provide accurate benefit plan explanation, answer benefit enrollment questions, and have excellent communication skills to provide customer service to employees with benefit questions. The incumbent will work with employees, carriers, and vendors. This position will handle sensitive benefit issues that may require a deep level of research to resolve the issue.
Main contact person for benefits and monitoring the Benefits mailbox.
· Reconciling the monthly benefit invoices, processing payments and writing tickets
· Conduct Benefits Orientations for new hires
· Work with Benefits Manager and HRIS analysts to maintain benefit rate tables in system, test system for open enrollment, and create/maintain benefit reporting
· Assist with Open Enrollment and other benefit projects

· Handle the day to day operations of benefits
o Educate employees on company benefits and resources available to be an informed consumer
o Resolve employee benefit issues by working with the broker and/or vendors
o Review and update employee benefit records in the HRIS system
o Process Evidence of Insurability decisions in Workday
