Looking for an Jr level Drafter with around 2 years experience, candidate to work on some design projects as well as assume other entry engineering duties for a contact-to-hire opportunity in Vancouver, WA. Also a role a 2nd role that focuses more on O-Calc that is more of an Engineering technician. Pivotal is looking for any available Technician or Drafting candidates. They are looking for someone to handle permitting and drafting for them. Candidate will be trained but should be very organized, have good communication skills, can work alone and be able to stay on top of the workload, and have some background in utility work (or have a good technical mind). They will need to have Excel and AutoCAD experience. This position needs to be filled ASAP. Past details on this role: This person needs to have a CAD background but can also be an Engineering Technician that has telecommunication experience. The project will entail extracting records from OSP-FM, generating construction drawings in AutoCAD, creating reports, and reviewing drawings using quality control processes. Experience with Telecom, aerial, underground and redline drawings. Will be transferring notes from Field engineers. Ideal candidates will have experience with AT&T systems (OPTI or Aramis) and/or familiarity with MicroStation - but not required. This role will be responsible to perform some QC, pull and research records, perform OCalc down the road, etc. This position will be supporting projects for FTTH on MDU and SFU. The preferred candidate will have a minimum of one year experience in: - AutoCAD or other drafting/design application - Utilize multiple tools (AutoCAD, Google Earth, GIS data bases, field notes, etc.) in the design and layout - Follow very specific and detailed procedures already implemented and, at times, be required to adjust and adapt to changing standards and procedures without notice. Other responsibilities will include: - Quality control of drawings - Coordination with field personnel - Addressing client questions - Work with the team to develop and/or modify quality control procedures The Drafter will be working in a fast pace and production oriented environment with emphasis on quality designs.
