Lab Technician

Description:

• Monitors product and production activities including plant sanitation and good manufacturing practices to ensure that the product quality and plant sanitation conform to the company standards, and take appropriate action to correct if needed.
• QC analyses, lab testing and recordkeeping
• Collect samples and media preparation
• Analysis include coliform plate counts, standards plate counts, butterfat, DMC count, bacterial and animal drug residue screening

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- 2 or 4 year degree in the sciences

OR

- 1 year of food science, food quality or Microbiology experience

- 1 year of Microbiology experience (in school experience is acceptable). Must be able to read a slide and identify organisms. Will test for E.coli, etc.

- HACCP experience is a plus
