Job Title: Entry-Level Microbiologist

Job Description

We are seeking an Entry-Leve Microbiologist to join our lab team. In this role, you will perform routine analysis and testing for pathogens such as E.coli, Salmonella, and Listeria. You will also handle plating for yeast, mold, and total plate count using various media and dilution techniques. Additionally, there is potential for cross-training in our Probiotics lab, involving enumeration of probiotic samples and advanced techniques like flow cytometry.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE: B.S. in Life Sciences (Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related field)
• Experience in food testing or client service or undergraduate research

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Madison, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

The work takes place in Madison, focusing on testing dietary microbiology and probiotics. The environment is fast-paced and production-oriented, requiring tests to be completed according to client timeframes. The Microbiology department comprises around 20 employees and operates separately from the Chemistry lab.
