Job Title: Quality Control Chemist
Job Description
Perform chemistry and microbiological laboratory testing such as pH, viscometer, UV-Vis, GC, FTIR, titration, etc. Inspect all raw materials and perform necessary quality testing to ensure everything meets the correct specifications. Perform pre-operation, in-process, and final product testing to ensure product conformance. Work with Production to make necessary adjustments to batches if there are any issues or the product is out of specification. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and quality equipment. Document all quality and lab activities and maintain appropriate documentation. Write up quality documentation such as COA's, regulatory paperwork such as FDA documentation, etc.
Responsibilities

- Conduct pre-operation, in-process, and final product testing to ensure product conformance.
- Collaborate with Production to adjust batches when necessary to resolve issues or meet specifications.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory and quality equipment.
- Document all quality and laboratory activities and maintain appropriate records.
- Prepare quality documentation such as COA's and regulatory paperwork including FDA documentation.
Essential Skills
- Quality control experience
- Chemistry testing experience
- Chemistry-related education (e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering)
- Ability to perform lab testing and collaborate with production personnel
- Analytical chemistry skills
- Wet chemistry knowledge
- Quality assurance expertise

- Experience in batch adjustments
- Proficiency in quality documentation
Work Environment
Brand new manufacturing facility and laboratory. This person will primarily work in the lab and quality office but will also collaborate with production on technical issues and batch adjustments. This is a 1st shift position, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30/4:30 p.m., working approximately 40 to 45 hours per week (salaried). Typically, the schedule will be Monday through Friday, but there may be additional hours required for large projects.
