Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Machine Adjuster who will be responsible for examining work orders to determine specifications and inspecting product quality according to established guidelines. The role involves checking orders throughout production to ensure the accuracy of labeling, printing, and packaging, as well as performing hands-on daily machine maintenance, changeovers, and set-ups.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor machine repairs and troubleshoot minor operating difficulties, including analyzing machine operations and making necessary mechanical adjustments.
- Conduct machine wash-ups and other general cleaning duties.
- Accurately complete paperwork to record labor, time, and quality.
- Maintain accurate counts of envelopes to boxes, cartons, and pallets.
- Pack envelopes uniformly and neatly into completed containers while keeping up with machine speeds.
- Place die-cut paper stacks into the machine feed.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience in machine set-up, tear-downs, and changeovers.
- Preventive maintenance skills.
- Demonstrated expertise as a Set-Up Operator or Auto Mechanic.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations and ruler measurements.
- 2-3+ years of experience at each company is ideal.
- Experience in the Envelope Industry, particularly with RA and/or WD machines, is preferred but not required.
- 5 years of machine set-up and/or repair experience.
- Capacity to speak effectively with employees and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand frequently during an eight-hour shift.

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled, well-lit shop that, while a bit cluttered with cut paper, provides a comfortable environment. The position is a third shift from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am, Sunday through Thursday, with a $1.00/hr shift premium.

This is a Permanent position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
