Description:
They will rotate from sitting at the main front desk of main entrance and also work in the ER dept. and the specialty entrance. These are all in the same building.
Checking in patients, registration of patients, guiding and assisting patients and visitors
ER sees 4-5 patients on the overnight shift-- not busy. Able to read a book, watch netflix or do crosswords unless patients are there.
Responsible for greeting and welcoming patients in person. Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enters information into electronic medical record.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Greets and welcomes patient in person.
- Collects demographic and insurance information. o Checks in or interviews patient to complete appropriate paperwork. o Directs patient to their appointment or procedure. o May assist in scheduling add-on appointments. o Verifies eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets results. Obtains signatures from patients as needed. o Collects co-pay or deductibles and respond to quest
- WILL HAVE TO TRAIN for 2 weeks on First shift M-F 8-430PM before moving this their shifts
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
1 year of Customer service experience open to industry but prefer office/hotel/healthcare
Scheduling or insurance or registration Preferred
Open to background
Think quick on their feet--especially in the ER.
Critical thinking
Shifts:
- Every other weekend 11p-7a (Friday & Sat)
- Every other weekend 3pm-11p (Friday and Sat)
