Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

Seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to support this firms site civil group. The ideal candidate will be a registered engineer and have years of design experience, excellent communication skills and proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D. The successful candidate will join a team of other professionals servicing a diverse base of clients throughout WV, OH and beyond. Projects include but not limited to industrial, commercial, private, healthcare, education, and more. This is a full-time position located at any of our four office locations - Parkersburg, Charleston, Fairmont, Athens.

Responsibilities:

-Perform all aspects of civil engineering design including civil site design (layout, grading, utilities, etc.); engineering analysis; prepare design concepts; calculations and specifications; conduct site investigations and visits; write reports and proposals.

-Attend meetings with clients and contractors.

-Work with a multi-discipline team of architects, engineers, interior designers, and surveyors.

-Participate in team meetings and coordinating efforts with other team members.

-Develop discipline specifications for review by the Senior Engineer.

-Mentor and collaborate with other designers and engineers.

-Review drawings prepared by peers (QA/QC).

-Coordinate work product with other disciplines.

-Adhere to project budget and schedule.

-Prepare estimates of probable costs of construction.

-Prepare accurate, complete, and code-compliant drawings and specifications for schematic, design

development, and construction document submittals.

-Other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

-Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering

-3-5+ years experience within site civil/ land development or related discipline

-Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

-PE license (WV or OH) or ability to obtain
