Overview The KC-130J Avionics/COM/NAV Technician will troubleshoot and/or repair malfunctions in the aircraft avionics/communication/navigation systems and all other supporting aircraft systems that require avionics skills and knowledge. SUMMARY The Common Support Equipment Technician diagnoses malfunctions and repairs Common Support Equipment (CSE); inspects and approves completed maintenance actions; solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagram schematics, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals, technical publications and maintenance actions. The Technician uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, and document maintenance actions. The Technician analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs CSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes and hand tools.
