Technician

The Plant Controller is responsible for directing the financial management, business planning and accounting activities of a plant. The Plant Controller normally supervises the plant payroll, payables, receivables, management and financial reporting. The Plant Controller is involved in developing short and long term plans and forecasts based on business goals; providing financial and operational analysis of results; and providing financial and operational alternative recommendations to improve plant results. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: Direct the accounting and financial affairs of the plant and provide guidance for management decisions including financial statements accuracy, the timely and accurate completion of transaction processing activities, payments are properly supported and authorized, plant internal control compliance, adequate safeguards are in place where possible based on risk to properly protect PCA assets, credit policies are followed and customer collections are made, and effective disclosure practices are in place and being followed. Ensure that plant maintains compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Ensures that PCA's Key and Significant Controls are in place and operating. Conduct month/year-end closings and ensure that financial transactions are processed properly. Coordinate and direct the preparation of budget and financial reports and forecasts. Maintain system of accounts and document balances through complete and timely account reconciliations. Prepare internal reports, revise and up-date reports for Management decision making. Analyze and report variances. Make recommendations to plant management aimed at improving the short and long-term results of the plant. Review financial position and key control issues with plant management on a quarterly basis. Work with internal audit on all control based work and ensure all internal audit findings and AFR issues are corrected and remain corrected on a quarterly basis. Manage the profit forecasting, annual budgeting and month-end closing processes for the plants. Prepare financial analysis and scenarios as requested. Manage the capital expenditure process including working with plant management on analysis of significant projects and ensuring that project's financials are prepared properly prior to Board of Director submittal. Ensure plant accountants have detailed capital expenditure tracking in place for all projects. Provide guidance, training, and operating documentation to accounting staff as well as other staff that engage in accounting activities. Conduct succession planning activities within the plant. Supervise four employees in the Plant Accounting Department. This position is part of the location's Lead Team and reports to the General Manager. Understands and follows policies and procedures of the company, shares information that would benefit other members of the team and finds ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance. 8+ years' experience in the accounting function with a solid understanding of all the major areas of accounting. 5+ yrs. experience in manufacturing setting with 1 -2 years as Plant Accountant (or similar experience) with an overall understanding of plant operations. Solid understanding and working knowledge of standard financial/accounting procedures, GAAP concepts and principles, accounting procedures and internal controls. Solid analytical and mathematical skills. Working knowledge of general ledger financial systems and inventory management. POSITION SUMMARY The Quality Analyst supports and advances quality, food safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing facility. This role partners with production, maintenance, design and customer service teams to ensure compliance with quality standards, drive data-based improvements, and support ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certification programs. Quality Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Operates wrapping equipment when necessary. Keeps stock and materials in orderly fashion. Documents materials unloaded and taken off trucks. Responsible for pulling job for production, inbound forms, inventory tags and counts on materials received or shipped. Assists other shipping and receiving material handlers to balance the workload, organize warehouses, and perform general cleaning. Follows rules and procedures relative to the safe and efficient operation of the forklift, also including reporting any missing, broken, bent or worn parts of fork lift to supervisor and/or maintenance. Alert to any obvious defects of incoming material. Adheres to all safety and work rules, company policies and procedures. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma/GED. 6+ month's prior experience operating a forklift. Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends. Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic. Ability to obtain and maintain PCA certified forklift license. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously. Ability to work independently and within a team, effectively communicating with members.

FORK LIFT OPERATOR - 3rd Shift

RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using Production Equipment to ensure steady workflow. Ensure a high quality product is coming off the machine. Conduct quality checks to ensure boxes have required dimensions and zero material defects. Lead machine crew with setups/change overs. Problem solve when issues with the machine arise. Complete necessary reports. Other duties as assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Strong safety background and good attendance record. Works well in a team environment. Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends. Strong mechanical aptitude and be good communicator. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience operating corrugated printing equipment. Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment, with an understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.

MACHINE OPERATOR - FLEXO - 2nd Shift

The Senior Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing superior service to customers. This includes responding to customer inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, freight rates, allocations, and delivery dates, receiving new orders, and monitoring status of current orders. Additionally, the Senior Customer Service Representative is responsible for resolving complaints and requests for billing adjustments. The Senior Customer Service Representative normally handles larger and more complicated customer accounts and orders. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: Receive, process, and track assigned orders through to scheduling. Consult with various internal departments to ensure order completeness, on-time delivery and accurate invoicing. Communicate significant information regarding customer accounts/orders to appropriate internal departments including ensuring Sales Representatives are informed of pertinent activity regarding individual accounts. Coordinate customer requests for product specifications, availability, shipping, quotations and estimates, samples. Serve as a link between the customer and the design, sales and production teams to meet customer requirements including scheduling production, securing delivery dates, addressing order changes, and resolving complaints. Maintain organized customer files. Investigate and resolve customer complaints including billing issues and escalates to Manager or appropriate internal departments when needed. Manage on-hand inventory levels and reconciles to customer orders, forecasts and just in time schedules; this includes taking physical inventory at month end. May provide direction and support to other customer service representatives and/or provide back up to Customer Service Manager as needed. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education equivalent to high school diploma required. Three (3) to Five (5) years' previous work experience preferred in a customer service role with experience handling customer orders on an order entry system and maintaining/building strong positive customer business relationships. Strong working knowledge of computer systems including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Two (2) years' previous work experience in the manufacturing sector, containerboard and corrugated packaging industry adds value. Previous experience using an automated order entry system.

Senior Customer Service Rep

RESPONSIBILITIES: Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste. Receive and follow directions from the Operator and/or Supervisor. Assist machine operator to set up orders, mount printing and cutting dies, ink adjustments, and ensure quality checks are performed before, during and upon completion of each order. Inspect machine during run and notify Operator when acceptable parts are not being produced. Assist in cleanup of equipment. Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures. Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards. Other duties as assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate or GED. Passionate about maintaining a safe work environment. Ability to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours. Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel. Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance.

Machine Operator Assistant - 2nd or 3rd Shift

The Plant Accountant is responsible for organizing and coordinating the general accounting activities for the plant. Ensure day-to-day maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger, prepare basic financial reports, and analyze and report any variances. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including the preparation of estimates and accruals. Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Comply with financial policies and procedures including compliance with PCA's SOX 404 Key Controls. Engage in general accounting activities including the accurate and complete preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial reports, such as balance sheets, profit-loss statements, and capital expenditure reports. Develop, maintain, and analyze forecasts, then prepare periodic reports that compare forecasts to actual costs. Follow up on customer accounts including customer credit issuances and collection activity. Ensure the accurate processing of the hourly payroll and related payroll/employee functions. Ensure all payroll transactions comply with company policies, as well as all state and federal requirements. Guide, develop, and train accounting associates including assisting the Plant Controller in supervising the day-to-day activities of the accounting associates. Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree is required with a concentration or major in accounting or finance preferred. Three (3) years of previous work experience in a business office/accounting department with exposure to general ledger, payroll, and/or accounts payable functions preferred. Strong working knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft Office preferably with exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with financial systems for invoicing, credit/collections, expense reporting, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience in the manufacturing sector, containerboard, and corrugated packaging industry. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Solid understanding and working knowledge of standard financial / accounting procedures, GAAP concepts and principles, and internal control. Plant Accountant

Principle Accountabilities: Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity, decreasing downtime and waste. Assume active role in overall plant facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor. Follow all company safety rules and lockout tag-out procedures. Maintain shop and equipment per 5S standards. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours. Set-up and operate machine to produce product according to customer specifications. Troubleshoot, perform minor repair, and preventative maintenance procedures on machine. Trains Helper, as required. Perform quality checks as required and take appropriate action when needed. Perform other job-related duties as assigned or delegated. Comfortable with computers and touch screens. Cross-train on other machines and jobs. Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data. Input maintenance work orders into BPMS software. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment. Switch duties with Assistant Operator or Helper if necessary. Comply with the facility's food packaging safety program processes and procedures. Complete annual food packaging safety training. Report any discovered food packaging safety risks/concerns to the food packaging safety management representative or direct supervisor. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Safety, GMP, FSSC, ISO, and maintaining good housekeeping. Die Cutter Assistant Operator 2nd Shift

The Quality Facilitator is responsible for daily quality control, product testing, and customer quality assurance activities. The Quality Facilitator supports the quality, environmental, health, and food safety programs within the plant to ensure production of a high-quality product to meet customer needs. Principle Accountabilities: Coordinate with plant management to implement and maintain company quality and food safety standards with the goal of producing high quality products to exceed customer expectations. Work with department managers/superintendents to implement key driver improvement activities through timely and usable product/process quality and safety data collection, data analysis, improvement project measurement and assisting improvement teams. Establish process methods for tracking and reporting environmental compliance to state regulations and establish and maintain relationships with state regulatory authorities and corporate environmental compliance resources. Facilitate and maintain corporate quality and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) systems process and procedures at the plant level. Serve as a quality contact with customers to address customer concerns and interests and further strengthen the customer relationship. This includes maintaining knowledge of customer specific quality testing, expectations, and requirements, interfacing with customer quality staff, responding to customer audits and information requests including providing letters of guarantee and/or certificates of audit, and assist the plant management in translating customer satisfaction survey data into action plans. Participate in and serve as interface in plant audits such as quality, food safety, environmental, and customer audits. Provide support in writing programs in support of maintaining the plant's quality (ISO 9000) and food safety certification(s)(ISO 22000) and environmental permitting as needed. Preferred Requirements Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Statistics, Business, or related field. Technicians work as part of a team to safely perform Preventive Maintenance Activities as well as answer break down calls in a Production Environment. All Maintenance Technician positions are multicraft and training is provided to develop these skills. Basic Qualifications 2+ Years' experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery. A Technical Degree in the Mechanical or Electrical Trades is a plus. The production schedule is 3 shifts. Maintenance Technicians are placed on shifts according to plant needs and seniority. Opportunities to change shifts are available when organization changes occur or production schedules change. Be Authorized to work in the US.
