PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Directs, manages and has oversight of the day to day operations and activities of Vascular Surgery Centers and programs in an assigned area ensuring compliance with established company and regulatory guidelines and procedures in order to provide high quality services and outstanding patient care to the community. Actively participates in board meetings with Joint Venture partners. Participates in the implementation of divisional and company initiatives and strategies. Practices cost containment strategies, maintaining profitability and growth of area while ensuring compliance with all pertinent company policies and regulatory requirements. In partnership with the Business Leadership team responsible for the development of new business opportunities to meet the business goals for treatment growth. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li> Responsible for driving the Urgent Care culture through values and customer service standards. </li><li> Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers. </li><li> Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication. </li><li> Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner. </li><li> Directs and oversees the dialysis business of assigned facilities within a defined area through effective leadership and management of customer service, quality patient care, marketing and responsible fiscal management. Coordinates operation strategies and activities to ensure the provision of outstanding quality patient care and dialysis services while adhering to regulatory and company guidelines and requirements ensuring efficiency and economy. </li><li> Responsible for direct oversight of product research. Coordinates market preference studies with marketing. </li><li> Participates in all Board meetings with Joint Venture partners. Implements facility-specific and area quality goals and action plans in order to achieve quality standards. </li><li> Collaborate with sales, marketing and senior management in various programs and projects, in order to maximize earnings in FMC </li><li> Responsible for the development of new business opportunities. </li><li> Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Sales and Marketing departments to facilitate technology integration in sponsored initiatives. </li><li> Identify and follow up leads for potential acquisitions, development of new business opportunities through de novos, joint ventures, and management agreements. Support establishment of new modalities within existing inventory. </li><li> Focuses on same store growth, de novo projects and the development of relationships with local market nephrologists to ensure treatment growth at or above market standards. </li><li> Provides leadership in formulating, representing, and implementing the business goals and objectives regarding treatment growth initiative. </li><li> Provides leadership for supporting evaluations and operational integration of innovative technologies. </li><li> Provides leadership, support and guidance to facility management including clinical and technical managers and other support staff and the Operations Manager. Provides informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback in the annual performance evaluation process. Manages the staffing through the appropriate hiring, firing and disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR. </li><li> Responsible for aggressively addressing and acting upon adverse events and action thresholds in area of responsibility. </li><li> Mentors, guides, supports and provides subject matter expertise to Clinic Managers within region. </li><li> Collaborates with VP to develop clinic budgets, monitoring performance to ensure optimal, efficient and effective operations practices within regulatory and company guidelines. </li><li> Responsible for profit and loss management of each assigned facility/program including optimal performance of facility operations to achieve or exceed budgets and key performance indicators. </li><li> Works closely with Managed Care department to increase the payor mix and to retain commercial patients. </li><li> Manages the payroll and oversees facility expenses and accounts payable for the assigned area practicing cost containment strategies as appropriate. </li><li> Reviews the balance sheet and income statement s regarding revenue growth and commercial payor mix on a frequent basis to understand the status of the business. </li><li> Determines impact of proposed changes and identified improvements prior to implementation to ensure a positive effect. </li><li> Accountable for implementing and driving the business initiatives including the prompt implementation of corrective action plans for clinics with below threshold performance. </li><li> Ensures efficient and economical performance in accordance with clinic operating budgets and takes the appropriate actions to ensure the attainment of profit and year-end goals and objectives. Responsible for the implementation and achievement of the business plan and key performance indicators. Reviews analysis of performance including financial and productivity data for area with VP and makes the appropriate changes in strategies, goals an objectives responding to current status and conditions. Coordinates and oversees all logistics associated with patient care within the assigned area. </li><li> Ensures all employees receive the appropriate training and education according to policies and procedures including ongoing compliance training. </li><li> Acts as the primary liaison between the company and the Medical Directors, Medical Advisory Board members, and referring physicians, ensuring appropriate communication of company initiatives. Responsible for developing and maintaining strong Medical Director and physician relationships and facilitating Clinical Manager and staff relationships with physicians. </li><li> Presides over facility Governing Body and maintains Administrative policy and procedure manuals. </li><li> Collaborates with the Vice President to respond to Joint Venture (JV) opportunities, to identify merger and acquisition opportunities and to participate in the related activities as appropriate. This may include but is not limited to providing oversight of the JV operations; participating in o JV Board meetings and JV Management meetings assuming Board positions as needed, and taking the appropriate steps to ensure the JVs are in compliance with all pertinent company and regulatory requirements. </li><li> Prepares reports and audits current procedures and processes to monitor efficiency of operations </li><li> Practices risk management strategies and collaborates with internal and external legal counsel as appropriate to resolve legal issues with goal of reducing company exposure. </li><li> Maintains current knowledge regarding community and regional healthcare market and industry issues which may impact business. Surgical Technologist Per Diem

PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Supports FMCNA's mission vision core values and customer service philosophy. Adheres to the FMCNA Compliance Program including following all regulatory and FMS policy requirements. Functions as part of the hemodialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with FMCNA policies procedures and training and in compliance with regulations set forth by the corporation state and federal agencies. Responsible for the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines. Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment. Supports the FMCNA commitment to the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) and CQI Activities including those related to patient satisfaction and actively participates in process improvement activities that enhance the likelihood that patients will achieve the FMC Quality Enhancement Goals (QEP). DUTIES / ACTIVITIES: CUSTOMER SERVICE: <ul><li> Responsible for driving the FMS culture through values and customer service standards. </li><li> Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers. </li><li> Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication. </li><li> Takes initiative and action to respond resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner. </li></ul> PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES PATIENT CARE: <ul><li> Assist other health care members in providing patient specific detailed education regarding adequacy measures where appropriate - Online Clearance Monitoring (OLC) Adequacy Monitoring Program (AMP) Urea Kinetic Modeling (UKM) and regarding disease process/access. </li><li> Welcome assigned patients and inquire as to their well-being since their last treatment. Report any complaints or observations to the nurse supervisor. </li><li> Evaluate vascular access for patency and report any unusual findings to nurse supervisor. </li><li> Obtain necessary pre and post treatment vital signs and weight. Report unusual findings to nurse supervisor. </li><li> Perform vascular access evaluation pre-treatment and report unusual findings to nurse supervisor. </li><li> Perform vascular access cannulation and report any difficulties in cannulation or unusual findings to nurse supervisor. </li><li> Perform administration of Heparin as delegated or as allowed by state law. </li><li> Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders including blood flow (QB) and dialysate flow (QD). </li><li> Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician order or as directed. </li><li> Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy and report any unusual findings to nurse supervisor. </li><li> Obtain vital signs prior to reinfusion; perform all relevant functions necessary for the discontinuation of treatment - document. </li><li> Discontinue dialysis treatment according to established procedures </li><li> Evaluate patient prior to termination of venous access - standing & sitting blood pressure. </li><li> Obtain Hemostasis and apply appropriate dressings. </li><li> Evaluate the patient for prior to discharge and report any unusual findings to nurse supervisor. </li><li> Perform and record Pre and Post dialysis evaluation weight and vital signs with initial identification. </li><li> Responsible for calculating and entry of individual patients' dialysis machine programming for Ultrafiltration (UF) goal; treatment time; Sodium (Na) modeling; and UF modeling as prescribed. </li><li> Responsible for ensuring appropriate safety alarms are enabled including Narrow Venous Limits (NVL) 160. </li><li> Record accurate and timely information regarding vital signs and treatment parameters onto the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet with initial identification. </li><li> Responsible for accurate documentation of information related to patient treatment including completion of Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet and if applicable progress notes. </li><li> Report any significant information and/or change in patient condition directly to the nurse supervisor. </li><li> Observe patient and conduct machine safety checks according to facility policy.
