Cybersecurity Architecture
About the course:
Securing modern technology environments takes more than individual security controls; it requires information security specialists to apply layered protections across cloud environments, networks, endpoints, data, applications, identities, and remote access. In Cybersecurity Architecture, you’ll explore how security principles, frameworks, policies, and practical controls work together to reduce cybersecurity risk and support secure operations.
Through real-world scenarios and guided activities, you’ll learn how to apply zero trust principles, cloud security frameworks, DevSecOps practices, data protection strategies, security baselines, endpoint controls, and remote access policies. You’ll also explore cybersecurity compliance, authentication and authorization, encryption keys, digital certificates, secrets management, threat detection and response, and Windows Server identity, logging, and auditing controls.
In the capstone project, you’ll apply these skills to secure the Lumicrest Games international gaming tournament. You’ll implement additional controls to protect the tournament server and sensitive data while securing client endpoints, remote access, data storage, productivity software, identity and access management, and logging and auditing.
Complete the required modules and capstone project to earn an industry-recognized IBM SkillsBuild digital credential called Cybersecurity Architecture.
