About the course:
Through our partnership with Grow with Google, we are providing CareerCircle members with a full scholarship to earn the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate.
As cyber-related threats continue to rise, cybersecurity analysts are uniquely positioned as the first line of defense in protecting organizational assets from a wide array of cyber-related crimes. To aid in the fight against these oftentimes costly and invasive attacks on digital data and essential electronic infrastructure, security analysts frequently focus their attention on identifying threats, risks, and vulnerabilities. Then, they respond to and defend against a variety of security incidents that are intended to harm the organizations they work for.
This certificate program is designed to help individuals with no previous experience find their first job in the field of cybersecurity.
About the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate:
This career-enhancing certificate will open doors to many opportunities in the cybersecurity space. Learn at your own pace and apply your skills with hands-on projects. There will be eight courses in the Google Cybersecurity Certificate: an introductory first course; five courses that progressively build your working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, networks, and tools used to assess and address threats, risks, and vulnerabilities; and one final course focused on escalation to stakeholders and decision making, as well as preparing to establish a career in the cybersecurity field.
Each course includes portfolio activities through which you’ll showcase examples of cybersecurity skills that you can share with potential employers. Acquire concrete skills that top employers are hiring for right now. By dedicating 8-10 hours a week to the courses, you can get your Certificate in roughly six months.
After completing the Google Career Certificate, you will be prepared to explore job titles like cybersecurity analyst, security operations center (SOC) analyst, information security analyst, IT security analyst, and cyber defense analyst.
To qualify for this program:
- You must be eligible to work in the United States
- You must reside in the United States
- You must be over the age of 18
- You must be willing to provide weekly progress reports via your CareerCircle profile
- You must be able to complete the program in less than 6 months
