As we continue to grow, V2X intends to welcome the Surveillance Towed Array Sensor System (SURTASS) Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Technician Crewmembers and Field Support Team (FST) program to our extensive portfolio of similar Operations and Maintenance / Sustainment (O&M/S) programs. In performance of this mission, V2X is seeking an experienced Electronics and SONAR Manager to work aboard government owned Ocean Surveillance Ships conducting Surveillance Towed Array Sensory System (SURTASS) operations at sea. SURTASS Technical Advisors will be on a rotational deployment schedule based on ship schedules. Our management team prides itself on its efforts to prioritize quality of life and family for our personnel. Mission requirements dictate that the successful candidate work in excess of 40-hours per week while deployed in an arduous duty environment at sea. The selected candidate can reside anywhere, as long as he/she is flexible for deployments and travel.
This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

- Fleet Systems Engineer Team (FSET) program located in key ports around the world, delivering support to the US Navy on complex C4ISR systems;
- Mobile Sensors (COBRA KING) Radar and Communication O&M/S program, on which we have 25 years of service supporting several vessels which today includes the United States Naval Ship (USNS) Howard O. Lorenzen;
- COBRA DANE Radar O&M/S program at Eareckson Air Station on Shemya Island, Alaska, which V2X has operated and maintained for over 50 years;
- The Hughes Air Defense Radar (HADR) Sustainment program that includes SME and Depot support of two radars located in Taiwan;
- Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station, Pacific (NCTAMS PAC) program and their efforts in facilitating key communication requirements from Hawaii and Australia; and
- Japanese - Auxiliary Oceanographic Surveillance (J-AOS), on which we have a long history of providing key Field Support.

Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
As a SURTASS Technical Advisor of the SURTASS team, you will be responsible for the following:
- Perform work independently to maintain shipboard network connectivity and repair CISCO servers, switches, and routers as part of the SURTASS program.
- Assist with onsite shipboard network and communications systems repairs, upgrades, and installations on SURTASS Expeditionary and other similar mission vessels.
- Employ technical solutions to perform any physical and/or software (CISCO IOS) patching as required.
- Perform operations and maintenance of the Ship's Operation Center and Array Handling systems utilizing common and specialized tools, test equipment, manufacturer's manuals, schematic diagrams, and government procedures.
- Opportunity to work on UHF SATCOM, Communication, Processing, Passive and Active Arrays, and other supporting systems.
- Become qualified in Ship Operation Center and Array Operation positions, and participate in the deployment and retrieval of Tow Arrayed evolutions and all other SURTASS operations.
- Assist supervisor and other program managers in compiling data, procedures, and manuals.
- Ensure proper maintenance of Logs and Records.
- May be assigned COMSEC, logistics, 3M or safety collateral duties.
- Participating in the planning, execution and reporting of new equipment installations and existing SURTASS system upgrades to include communications, array processing, navigation, and ADNS / INC III network systems
- Lead technical repair activities on site or remotely, oversee the installation and upgrades of SURTASS electronics systems, and may be assigned as government representative to direct and approve shipboard installations conducted by other system engineers.
- Be an onsite manager directing ship's crew and coordinating port services including cranes, transportation, and other activities to support ship's Mission Readiness Availability and Mission Readiness Reviews (MRR / MRA) between operational missions at sea.
- Shipboard support for PMS485 systems and requirements, coordination of the assigned workforce in assigned duties.
- Review of all incoming and outgoing emails, formal military message traffic, and other correspondence.
- Ensuring all technical problems are resolved or requests for technical support are transmitted to the program office.
- Daily operations of the SURTASS Operations Center (SOC) to include array evolutions, daily message transmission, equipment preventive and corrective action, and responding to program office / customer requests / requirements.
- Direct interaction with embarked non-V2X entities in support of the contract for array evolutions, mission requirements, communications plans, port entry / departure, and security of all SURTASS controlled spaces (physical and electronic).
- Ensure all rules and regulations are followed and report when there are any violations.
- Training of new personnel and continued training of experienced personnel.
Required Qualifications:
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or a graduate of Navy C" school in network and information technology with 4+ years of related hands-on experience in planning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of data networks, computers, and distributed data systems.
- Possess certifications: Security+ or Cisco Security or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- Proficient with network computers and have a familiarity with operational, schematics, and maintenance publications.
- Capable of passing a Mariner's Physical per COMSCINST 6000.l.c and maintain their medical fitness.
- Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Able to share common spaces over lengthy deployment periods and work closely with others in a small working area and in a shipboard environment.
- Demonstrate ability to perform assigned taskings.
- In possession of, and able to maintain a valid U.S. passport.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- The ability to obtain and maintain company provided travel charge cards.
- An active Department of Defense Top Secret level clearance with SCI access is required.
- Four years of practical hands-on experience in the operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of secure networks and communications systems, navigations systems, and sonar systems. Experience with SURTASS mission systems is highly desired.
- Five years of experience managing personnel.
- Graduate of Navy Communications Security (COMSEC) Manager School.
- Three years of experience serving in a COMSEC Program.
- Three years of experience with personnel, information, and physical security.
- Ability to perform as a KMI Operating Account Manager / COMSEC Account Manager (KOAM/CAM).
- Perform COMSEC account management and be responsible for the performance of the assigned SURTASS Vessel's COMSEC account.
- Perform verification and accountability of classified material inventory.
- Perform destruction of classified material when no longer required, and complete the associated documentation.
- Ensure physical security compliance and verification.
- Conduct Defense Courier Service (DCS) deliveries and pickups for the assigned SURTASS Vessel, and assist other SURTASS Vessels when schedules permit.
