Job Summary
Alaska Overview
ConocoPhillips is Alaska's largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1.6 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2021. The company produced an average of 197 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2021. ConocoPhillips has major ownership interests in two of North America's largest oil fields, both located on Alaska's North Slope-Kuparuk, which the company operates, and Prudhoe Bay. Additionally, ConocoPhillips operates the Alpine Field located on the Western North Slope. The company has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and owns/operates the Polar Tankers fleet.

Description
As a key member of the Alaska Logistics and Materials team, the Logistics and Materials (L&M) Analyst will lead implementation of data availability and architecture, including identifying data sources and data requirements for logistics and materials.

The position will collaborate and interface with the Logistics and Materials team to support the implementation and improvement of L&M related digital tools.

Job Description

Your responsibilities may include:
  • Act as a resource to IT for the technology and data needs of the logistics and materials organization
  • Develop dashboards to enable monitoring and track logistics and inventory performance
  • Complete analytics on logistics data in support of:
  • Logistics sourcing efforts
  • Key logistics initiatives
  • Enhancing transportation efficiency, and
  • Reducing logistics network costs
  • Prepare reports/visualizations to support analyses
  • Maintain logistics and materials process guidelines (Routing Guide)
  • Evaluate historical, status quo data practices and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop analytical tools to proactively identify incorrect and/or missing information across our L&M data sets, and implement additional tools, processes, etc. to correct
  • Participation in the Anchorage Incident Management Team
Basic/Required:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business, Logistics, Engineering, or related field or foreign equivalent
  • 3 + years experience in data analysis
  • Intermediate proficiency across Microsoft Office suite, including PowerBI
  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodations) to travel 20% on an annual basis
Preferred:
  • 3+ years experience in SAP
  • 1+ years of experience with purchase orders, purchase requisitions and material management
  • Intermediate proficiency with logistics management systems, database management, and data analysis tools
  • Intermediate knowledge of North Slope Oil & Gas Operations
  • Ability to develop commonly used logistics modeling tools to support decision making and planning efforts
  • Ability to analyze operational data and provide actionable insights
  • Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
  • Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
  • Builds strong relationships based on trust and seeks opportunities to collaborate across the matrix/organizational boundaries to achieve business goals
