The Federal Systems Technology department of the USFGMD is responsible for service supporting a charter of implementing and integrating complex systems sold worldwide to the US Federal Government. As a USFGMD Onsite LMR Technical System Manager, you will be exposed to a wide variety of communications requirements in both the Presale and Post Sale phases of a project. These applications span the entire breadth of the US Federal Government throughout the world.

The Onsite LMR Technical System Manager MUST live a commutable distance from Orlando, FL.


Job Description

• This position is a dedicated Onsite LMR Technical System Manager position working directly at our customers location in Orlando, FL.
• Candidates must be based within 1 hour from Orlando, FL.
• Applicant MUST be willing to travel by air up to 10% of the time and be a self motivator.
• Responsibilities include everyday maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and customer training on Motorola Land Mobile Radio Products.
• This equipment is state of the art Astro 25 trunking.
• Verbalize and communicate concepts and recommendations to the customers and within the Motorola Solutions organization.
• Detailed understanding of Motorola systems permitting the individual to assist in the design, troubleshooting and maintenance of Motorola's product lines.
• Thorough understanding of Motorola RSS/CPS software and how to program subscribers and infrastructure equipment.
• Experience working with Infrastructure Technologies to include: Motorola Astro 25 cores, MCC console line and 3rd party networking equipment
• Must be able to obtain CompTIA Security Plus
• Strong networking skills required
• Understanding of IA systems and group policies in a network administrative position.
• Applicant must be proficient with Microsoft Office products and Motorola Radio Service Software products.
• Must have a excellent communications skills and always present a professional image.
• Required to complete Standard Form 89 Questionnaire for National Security Positions.
• Must be willing and capable of meeting the requirements to obtain a DHS Public Trust Clearance
• Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract

Additional required experience include:

• Experience in the design and implementation of LAN/WAN networks, Wireless networks, budget analysis, capacity planning, interface analysis, network optimization, Subnet, IT engineering, system design, and zoning support.
• Analyzes functional business requirements and design specifications for functional activities.
• Responsible for understanding the needs of the customers and the realities of commercially available IT products, and creating requirements that will allow implementation by the architecture and engineering team using COTS products.
• Must possess experience of system engineering in one or more areas including telecommunications concepts, computer languages, operating systems, database/DBMS and middleware. Will provide identification/fixes for the problems within existing systems, design/implementation of new systems, enhancements to existing systems and participates in analysis, design and new construction of next generation IT systems.

Basic Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in one of the following: LMR, RF Systems, Radio Frequency, Radio Communications, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, Networking Equipment or IT
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Must be willing and capable of meeting the requirements to obtain a DHS Public Trust Clearance
