Equipment Operator

We are currently seeking an experienced safety-conscious Equipment Operatorto join the team at Pembroke Park Transfer Station in Pembroke Park, FL . Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge plus , but willing to train the right candidate.

Th e p osition is a Day Shift working Monday through Saturday working 40- hours a week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily machine maintenance and reporting.
• Loading tractor trailers with trash using excavator and Loader.
• Pushing and sorting material using Loader and Excavator
• Perform maintenance around the site and facilities.
• Spotting and directing customer traffic around facility.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• The work environment is an outdoor landfill setting. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have 3+ years of experience
• Experience Operating Excavator, Loader and Forklift.
• House keeping around Site and Heavy Equipment.
• cover all positions around facility.
• Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment used at facility
• Must become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
• Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily
• Able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Must demonstrate safe professional behavior at all times.
