Abbott Early Careers Senior Recruiter

As a key member of the Talent Acquisition team this position will be responsible for developing and maintaining an award-winning Early Careers program. A successful Senior Recruiter will power the growth of vibrant and diverse early career talent communities with a focus on strategy, innovation and technologies that drive the attraction, development, and overall success of the best & brightest early career talent. The role involves devising and executing a campus strategy at colleges and universities while building and maintaining strong internal relationships with key business stakeholders.

As an Early Careers Senior Specialist, you are responsible for identifying, engaging, selecting, and hiring candidates for US based intern, co-op, research park and professional development program members. The senior specialist focuses on multiple functional talent segments such as Finance, IT, Operations, Sales or other entry level program hires.

Position Accountability / Scope
  • Drive, execute, and inform internal partners of market trends that influence recruitment strategies and influence stakeholders to ensure competitive positioning.
  • Partner closely with program leaders, executive business leadership and external stakeholders to build capabilities to drive relevant, impactful attraction & engagement outcomes.
  • Develop and manage campus recruiting budget reviewing for improvements in efficiency and cost effectiveness as well as identifying trends to leaders on future needs/expenses.
  • Design and deliver intern and coop programming and engagement activities
  • Design, maintain and revise marketing assets to ensure Abbott Brand is represented appropriately to audience.
  • Manage vendor partnerships that directly support Early Careers
  • Manage relevant program budgets
  • Execute with high quality hiring standards, achieve diversity objectives, focus on execution and efficiency to manage a large volume of hires, and support local recruitment efforts.
  • Provide high level candidate support to attract, engage, influence, and ensure exceptional candidate experience.
  • Ability to liaise with business HR, university partners and executive business leaders to support Talent Community development is a key to success in the role.
  • Understand and train teams in the HR regulatory environment and execute plans, including training of teams and systems management.
  • Engage and influence leadership to create and execute strategy for all early career hires including overseeing on-campus recruiting efforts, leader engagement, assignment development and placement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience developing innovative talent marketing programs and technology solutions.
  • 2+ years of proven success in talent engagement.
  • 3-5 years recruiting experience with a focus on early intake talent
  • Strong capabilities in relationship building, client management, strategic and critical thinking, project management and problem resolution.
  • Experience with Workday ATS and candidate relationship management tools
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Must be self-directed and able to handle multiple large projects at the same time
  • Excellent project management capabilities
Travel Requirements
  • This position requires 30% travel
The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 - $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
