Neuromodulation

Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.

The Opportunity

The Sr. Manager of Commercial Excellence will lead and manage a cross-functional team responsible for sales enablement, operational efficiency, and data/process management for the Neuromodulation organization. Development and ownership of the processes and supporting tools (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, Business Objects dashboards) to support sales execution Neuromodulation. Tasked with managing a team responsible for creating and maintaining processes, governance models and driving continuous improvement across the organization. This role is comprehensively integrated into the Commercial Excellence efforts as a stakeholder in developing strategy and governance. This role also manages a team responsible for the translation of this data into actionable tools and reports to drive incremental growth in the commercial organization.

What You'll Work On
  • Partner with commercial and operational leadership from Business Units to design processes and Customer Relationship Management/Analytic tools to develop and support primary Key Performance Indicators and affiliated reporting tools for the commercial organization.
  • Coordinate with IT BRM teams across multiple business units to drive accuracy of data from master data sources such as SAP; ensure accuracy of sales alignment and product hierarchy structures for NMD and EA.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in the EA and Commercial Organizations across Finance, Marketing, Ops and Sales across all Medical Device business units to define new metrics and launch scalable, automated dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Substantiate the integrity of data, systems, and tools to support the Enterprise Account and Med Dev organization.
  • Lead team responsible for development and governance of Global Power BI KPI and dashboards.
  • Drive the development and support of the Enterprise Accounts and Neuromodulation commercial execution vision by determining organizational needs and aligning with senior leadership on the desired organizational, financial, and operational results, Sales Process development, administration, and coordination with Sales leadership.
  • Identify capability gaps across the commercial organization; Coaching and Developing the Sales Leaders on the leadership competencies.
  • Define and execute a strategic plan designed to provide processes and tools that maximize the effectiveness and productivity of the NMD commercial organization in support of the commercial execution vision.
  • Lead the NMD reporting & operations team in identifying, developing, and executing standardized processes for reporting on business-critical information related to market intelligence, RFP preparation, forecasting, business planning, and general analytics.
  • Drives continuous improvement and development, implementation and tracing of business best practices and advise on commercial strategy impact.
  • Ensure effective learning and adoption/utilization of process and tools to maximize achievement of organizational objectives by providing front-line training, adoption metrics and data validation with reporting.
  • Propose and build business case for annual budget related to investment in IT infrastructure and development.
  • Lead teams responsible for project management for development of new and existing tools to ensure timely completion within budget.
  • Ensure effective and accurate utilization of available reporting tools.
  • Develops tools, messages, programs, systems, services, and behaviors to enable sales and produce consistent messaging, positioning, and branding for the Abbott CRM portfolio.
  • Using strong business acumen, domain expertise, strategic thinking, and data, prioritizes investment of financial and human resources to yield the greatest business results in collaboration with commercial leadership.
  • Enable accurate commercial reporting by managing back-end data and systems including sales management alignment database and USD reporting attributes reporting.
  • Drive value with customers and contracts by producing monthly and quarterly customer-facing reports to monitor utilization of Abbott products.
  • Manage sales and internal user set up and access to key reporting tools.
  • Advise and track budgetary implications.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business management or business administration. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of operations, analytics or finance work coupled with 6+ years of managing and leading teams in a complex, matrix organization.
  • Expertise and advanced knowledge of SAP, Cognos, Business Objects, Salesforce, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced skills in analyzing and reporting on detailed sales and financial data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and must be comfortable presenting to senior leadership and providing actionable recommendations to drive new processes and tools. Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel 30%.

The base pay for this position is $125,300.00 - $250,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
